Made in Maine with our own certified EcoWash Merino wool and American cotton, these Willoughby Patchwork throws are breathable yet cozy. The soft merino wool yarn is treated with a natural enzyme that prohibits felting, so these throws can be gently washed at home. We hand-dye the yarn in our Northport studio and then have it woven by a small mill in Maine. 100% Made in Maine. We also make up-cycled throws in Winooski and Battenkill versions.
Woven, washed and finished at our mill on the Lamoille River in Wolcott, Vermont, where the same water that turned the first wheel in 1871 still runs past the dye house.
Machine wash cold on the wool cycle, dry flat
Wool does not need washing nearly as often as people think. Air it outside on a
dry day and most of what you would wash out simply leaves on its own. When it does
need water, use a wool-safe soap, never hot, and never a machine dryer unless the
label above says otherwise.
Pills in the first season are normal on a napped face. Shave them off with a
sweater comb and the cloth settles for good.

We pick, pack and ship from the mill Monday through Friday. Orders placed before
2 p.m. Eastern generally leave the same day. Ground service runs 2–6 business
days depending on your state; expedited options are offered at checkout.
If a piece is not right, send it back within 60 days in its original condition
for a full refund. Mill Seconds are sold as-is but are still covered by our
